Re-examining your core beliefs is an excellent way to start.

WORLD’S SAFEST HOUSE

LOS ANGELES, CA – It is hard to put a price on safety and peace of mind, but one company thinks that $7.25 million is a good place to start!

When you think of safety within a home, you usually think of a panic room or a great security system or perhaps just a couple extra locks around the home. Well one house, high in the hills overlooking Los Angeles, goes several steps further than just your average panic room.

The house itself offers a beautiful blend of luxury and security. It offers exquisite 360 degree views, nearly 8,000 square feet, and 32 rooms. There are five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, two offices, a wine cellar, a home theater, and several other wonderful amenities. The safety aspect is the real kicker in this home.

The world’s safest house has two hidden panic rooms and two invisible “safe cores.” The safe cores allow entire sections of the house to be isolated from the rest of the home providing safety from intruders, natural disasters and nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare. The house all contains state of the art surveillance abilities. The current homeowner declined to discuss more of the specifics due to concern that it would compromise the overall system.

The house is currently on the market for $7.25 million one can contact the Hurwitz James Company in Beverly Hills, CA for more information. The house was designed and built by Al V. Corbi, a renowned authority on residential and yacht security. It should also be noted that Corbi is president of S.A.F.E. which stands for Strategically Armored and Fortified Environments.

With those kind of credentials, one can certainly be guaranteed a secure home. Just make sure to always have a map handy, seeing as how one could get lost going from the bathroom to the bedroom because of the 32 rooms in the house.

JACKSON TAYLOR

ENGLAND – A terrible tragedy has occurred in the town of Bradford. A tragedy that might have a family member to blame!

Jackson Taylor, a nine-year-old boy from Bradford, has died from multiple stab wounds. Jackson died as he was being rushed to the hospital last night. Jackson’s sister was also rushed to the hospital due to a stab wound to the hand, but her injuries were not life threatening.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested and it is highly suspected that the individual is the brother of both individuals. Police are refusing to confirm the identity of the culprit, but neighbors of the family claim that it is the brother.

The 10-year-old granddaughter of Trevor Bairstow, Leah, went to school with the victim and attests to the fact that it was the brother who is responsible. “The boy went to Wibsey Primary School. He was a normal little lad. I used to see him playing out and about,” said Bairstow.

Dale Webster, 24, lives across the road from the scene of the crime and says that disturbances within the Jackson household was not uncommon. “I’ve seen police go into that house a lot in the past. And I think a mental health team have gone to the home,” said Webster.

After years of experience, we have found that the following method is one of the surest ways to keep your diamonds clean and brilliant if cleaning at home. It is a simple yet effective method that takes no more than fifteen to twenty minutes of your time. This method is not advisable for Pearl or Emerald jewelry or for any gemstone jewelry that has been enhanced.

For jewelry made of gold, and things made of vinyl and copper, you may use sudsy water. On the other hand, a bucket of cold water and a sponge will work for sandstones, granite, concrete, brick and marble surfaces. Although, if the stain is too heavy, powder detergent may also be needed.

There are some home methods you can use to clean silver, however, they may or may not cause damage. These methods should not be used for silver that is irreplaceable! The first method you can use is toothpaste. You want to choose plain white toothpaste without whitening ingredients. Simply place a dab of toothpaste on a soft cloth and rub the silver gently. Then, you can rinse it and promptly dry it. Usually, this will remove tarnish spots.

To clean diamond jewelry use a mix of 1 cup water and ¼ cup of ammonia. Immerse the piece for about 20 to 30 minutes. Then brush gently with a soft toothbrush, taking special care to brush the back mounting and the culet (tip of the diamond) as that is where most of the grime sticks reducing the amount of light passing through the stone thus reducing its luster.

Platinum jewelry can be cleaned in the same way as gold and silver jewelry however it is important to remember that soaking in solutions such as ammonia can damage the jewelry, harsh chemicals are really best for hard gemstones such as diamonds. You can also have you platinum jewelry cleaned by a professional jeweller.

CEDAR FALLS HIGH SCHOOL

CEDAR FALLS, RI – A superintendent at a Rhode Island high school has brought down the hammer on her failing school and fired every teacher and administrator!

Frances Gallo, superintendent at Cedar Falls High School, has the reputation as one of the worst-performing high schools in the state. Gallo proposed a plan to remedy the problem and hopefully pick the school up. The plan called for adding 25 minutes to the school day, providing tutoring on a rotating schedule before and after school, submitting to more rigorous evaluations, attending weekly after-school planning sessions, and participating in two weeks of training in the summer.

The teacher’s union did not hesitate in rejecting the apparently “onerous” demands. Gallo did not hesitate in terminating every staff member of the school. Gallo blasted the union’s “callous disregard” for the situation. The school’s 100 teachers and administrators will be fired effective next school year.

Cedar Falls is a town of very high unemployment in a state that has been extremely hard in the face of the current economic crisis. It should also be noted that the teachers at school make an average salary ranging from $72-78,00. The average wage for everyone else in the town is about $22,000.

The kids in that school need all the help they can get. The graduation rate at the high school is barely over 50 percent. It goes to show that Teachers unions will fight to the end against any reforms they deem a threat to their members or even an inconvenience. A sad truth facing today’s school systems.

BLAKE LIVELY

LOS ANGELES, CA – The star of the show Gossip Girl is looking to take the next step in her career – and pose for Playboy!

Blake Lively, 22, has been a hot topic in rumor circles as she has been linked to wanting to pose for Playboy. Lively recently had a nude scene in the movie The Private Lives of Pippa Lee and ever since she has given the idea of Playboy much thought. If the claims are true, Lively will come at a price tag of $2.5 million.

Blake’s family is divided on the issue. Her dad is completely and strongly against the idea. While her mom has a different opinion. “Blake’s mom has been in the business a long time, and she knows Kim Basinger and other actresses really benefited from posing for Playboy early in their careers,” said a National Enquirer source.

Lively sees the Playboy move as a step in breaking away from the teen scene and attracting more mature roles. As much as teen boys across America may be clamoring for this, a rep for Lively refutes the rumors. “Nothing about that is true. There’s not one ounce of truth in it,” says the rep. We will have to wait and see if anything ever comes about.

ELIN NORDEGREN PARTIES

ORLANDO, FL – Tiger Woods was allowed to come back home. However, since he was a bad boy, he finds himself grounded!

Elin Nordegren, Tiger’s wife, hit the town Saturday night and Tiger was nowhere to be found. The reason being that he – wasn’t invited. Instead Tiger found himself relegated to his house and taking care of their two children. Elin celebrated a friend’s birthday with a group of girlfriends by dining out at the Disney World Dolphin Hotel.

Elin was spotted wearing a black dress with a belt and a jean jacket and most importantly – no wedding ring. Elin has not been seen wearing her wedding ring ever since the infamous car accident and the fallout after.

Although Elin has given Tiger a second chance, that doesn’t mean things have been resolved. The two are currently living in separate houses. “The marriage is not good,” says a source close to the couple. “She barely interacts with him.”

Whether the marriage will be saved remains to be seen. What’s more important, however, is that Tiger spends some time being a father and Elin spends some time surrounding herself with positive influences. It’s evident that she’s not letting the past keep her from leading her life.
