NEW YORK, NY – A seasoned chef has begun pumping out some new dishes using a rather unusual ingredient!

Daniel Angerer is the chef at up-scale restaurant Klee Brasserie in New York City. He’s best known for beating renowned chef Bobby Flay on Food Network’s “Iron Chef.” Angerer has pushed the envelope on innovation has begun cooking up dishes using cheese made from breast milk.

That was not a typo and his wife, Lori Mason, has been supplying the milk for his new creations. The couple haS a new born baby Arabella that just turned 4 weeks old and they realized that their freezer was overflowing with breast milk. With his wife’s approval, Angerer began experimenting with making cheese out of the breast milk. With some curdling and about two weeks of aging, the result was a sweet cheese not far removed from cheese made with cow’s milk.

“We are fortunate to have plenty of pumped mommy’s milk on hand, and we even freeze a good amount of it,” Angerer wrote on his Web site. “Our small freezer ran out of space. To throw it out would be like wasting gold.”

The recipe has received mixed reviews but Angerer claims that it’s all in the name of kitchen science. Whatever the case may be, Angerer’s reemergence has sparked another question. Does he have any relation to famed Weekly World News columnist Ed Anger?

The similarities can be seen in their radical thought processes. The number of chef’s that would experiment with breast milk IS probably few and far between. When it comes to voicing opinions, Ed Anger takes the cake on taking a stance and making sure his voice is heard. Perhaps their apples fell from the same tree?

“Not a chance in hell I’m related to Angerer,” Anger said. “I would never want to be related to some sissy chef whipping up ‘treats’ with breast milk. The only cheese I want to see is American on my burger. Washed down with an ice cold beer. I’m madder than Avatar at the Oscars!”

JAPAN – A sequel to the documentary that won the Academy Award has been approved!

“The Cove,” a documentary chronicling bloody dolphin hunting in the Japanese fishing town of Taiji, received an Oscar for best documentary on Sunday. The documentary mixes in stunning underwater shots of majestic dolphins with discreet grisly footage of dolphin slaughter. The movie also claims that dolphin meat is laden with toxic mercury.

Taiji has defended its practice and says that hunting dolphins is part of a long tradition. The quiet fishing village on the rocky coast of southwestern Japans says it kills only a small fraction of the dolphins hunted by the country each year.

“This is a close-knit group of fishermen. The more they feel squeezed, the more they will close off to outsiders. They won;t stop this hunt because of such pressure,” said Hisato Ryono, a local councilman who appears in the film.

Environmentalists and animal lovers have come down hard on the village of Taiji and many feel that its practices need to cease and stop the harming of dolphins.

The makers of “The Cove” are so pleased with the appreciation and acclaim that their documentary has received that they have decided to go ahead with a sequel. This sequel will turn away from the documentary approach and become more of a feature film.

The leaked insider information on the sequel is that it will be centered on the plot of taking down the village of Taiji and doing away with the practice of slaughtering dolphins. It’s rumored to be a big budget blockbuster and the big guns have been called in to help. There are contract negotiations going on to bring in Michael Bay to produce it and Gizmo the dolphin has signed on to star in the film.

Gizmo is the mysterious dolphin with human arms who has become somewhat of a fairy tale on the scale of unicorns. He suddenly surfaced in Japan and sought out the makers of “The Cove” because he feels a strong connection to the issue.

“This terrible practice and tradition needs to be done with. I don’t care if it’s a small fraction that are slaughtered, there is no place for it,” said Ginzo using sign language. “This film will not only raise awareness to a whole new level, but hopefully bring me an Oscar nomination for best actor next year.”

Jon Gosselin has been mired in rumors of appearing in Playgirl. There might be a need for money, now that his TV show is a distant memory, but Gosselin shouldn’t be expecting a big paycheck.

His star is extinguishing, and he’s not very well endowed. Honestly,” Nardicio adds, “it’d be more of a novelty than an actual sexy shoot.”

Jon’s exes have not exactly spoken very highly of him or complemented his manhood for that matter. In Steppin’ Out magazine, Hailey Glassman said of Jon, “he’s hung like a nine-year-old boy.” Kate Major also weighed in on his manhood. “I’m surprised he’s so ‘cocky’ because down there he’s not,” she told Life & Style.

If his star is fading, his former ex-wife’s star is burning pretty bright. Kate Gosselin has just recently been named to the cast of the latest season of Dancing with the Stars. To add insult to injury, Kate stands to win roughly $100,000 from the competition.

NEW YORK, NY – New discoveries by scientists have shaken up the animal kingdom – and one of WWN’s own!

The first discovery comes out of the university of California at Berkeley. Some male frogs have developed female reproductive systems and the ability to lay eggs when exposed to a weed-killer chemical. The study was published Monday and in it scientists concluded that the herbicide atrazine has a severe effect on male fringes. According to them it causes male frogs to become “so completely female that they can mate and lay viable eggs.” This study has the potential to raise questions as to what qualifies as a safe chemical.

The second discovery comes to us courtesy of the University of Michigan and one of its professors, Jeffrey Wilson. His team of scientists discovered a macabre death scene that took place 67 million years ago. The scene contained a dinosaur just hatched from an egg and an 11-foot snake ready to devour it. The scene was preserved by a sudden avalanche and fossilized for scientists to discover. The snake was ready to devour a baby sauropod, which were the biggest dinosaurs to roam the earth.

The last discovery has perhaps caused the most buzz – to one particular individual of Weekly World News family. The discovery comes to us from Russia in which Lubya, a baby wooly mammoth, was discovered. Lubya was preserved for 42,000 years in “frigid Siberian river muck.” Lubya was preserved so perfectly that even her baby fat remained intact.

Tonya, the world’s fattest cat, has heard of this finding and has assumed that this is the discovery of the world’s fattest wooly mammoth. When you reach such sizes of mass and girth, you are automatically bestowed a “world’s fattest” radar. Well her radar must be malfunctioning because this is a case of a baby wooly mammoth and not a grown adult.

Tonya has not been able to be reached for comment. There is no doubt that she is on the move to find this “world’s fattest wooly mammoth” in Russia and find someone to make her happy. It’s too bad she can’t be reached because Lubya is not in Russia but is actually on loan to Chicago’s Field Museum.

CHILE – An 8.8-magnitude earthquake rocked Chile this past weekend. It also may have rocked the Earth’s axis!

The earthquake that hit Chile may have also changed the entire Earth’s rotation and shortened the length of days on our planet, a NASA scientist said Monday. The seventh strongest earthquake in recorded history which hit Chile on Saturday may have shortened the length of an Earth day by 1.26 milliseconds. That is according to research scientist Richard Gross at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA.

A large quake shifts enough rock to redistribute the mass of the planet, which can speed its rotation. The change is permanent, but won’t be noticed in day-to-day life. Gross and his staff also calculated that the quake moved Earth’s figure axis by about eight centimeters.

The figure axis is the axis about which Earth’s mass is balanced and is different from Earth’s north-south axis, which the Earth rotates around once a day at about 1,600 kilometers. Since the Chilean quake was further away from the equator, it was more effective in affecting the figure axis. Also, the fault responsible for the quake was at a steeper angle, having a greater impact on the figure axis.

“This makes the Chile fault more effective in moving Earth’s mass vertically and hence more effective in shifting Earth’s figure axis,” NASA officials said.

Gross has said that his findings are based on early data available on the Chile earthquake. As more information about its characteristics are revealed, his prediction of its effects will likely change.

Powerful earthquakes have altered Earth’s days and its axis in the past. The 9.1 Sumatran earthquake in 2004, which set off a deadly tsunami, should have shortened the Earth’s days by 6.8 microseconds and shifted its axis by about 2.76 inches.

WASHINGTON D.C. – President Obama has launched a new plan to keep kids in school. Puts the pressure of under-performing schools to get their act together!

President Obama shifted his focus to the nation’s school dropout epidemic on Monday. He proposed a $900 million school grant to states and education districts that agree to drastically change their worst performing schools.

“Over 1 millions students don’t finish high school each year,” Obama said during an education event at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He went on to add that there may have been a time when kids could leave school and still get a good enough blue collar job to pay the bills, but: “That’s just not the case anymore.”

The $900 million in grants will target states with graduation rates of less than 60 percent. If schools fail to increase those rates they will face the prospect of new principals, new managements, or even outright closure.

“There’s got to be a sense of accountability,” the president added during the event. America’s Promise Alliance sponsored the event which was founded by former Secretary of State Colin Powell.

WASHINGTON, DC – President Obama held a bipartisan Health Care Summit yesterday.  To keep opposing factions together he summoned the snow gods to bring a blizzard!

Yesterday’s Health Care Summit lasted for over six hours and broke records as being the most work legislators have done in months.  News crews and hundreds of television cameras forced politicians to talk about health care reform while in a room together.  Some claim the highly televised event was an act of “political theater” intended to put on a show.  However insiders believe the presence of cameras kept the politicians on task, discouraging the fist fights and beer pong matches that are so often a part of the political process.  To help push the health care bill forward, President Obama even summoned the elder snow gods to bring a blizzard and keep law makers trapped in a room together.

President Obama has summoned the elder gods of the North, to bring a blizzard which is currently pounding the eastern seaboard.  Earlier this week he met with his Secretary of Paranormal Activity to determine an appropriate ritual.  He and Secretary Mabius decided on a ritual to summon the elder winter gods of the North to help keep politicians talking yesterday.  Great lengths were required to keep opposing factions in a room together for six hours.  Lawmakers from both parties, predominantly elderly white men, were sufficiently scared to go outside once the snow began for fear they might fall and break a hip then have to rely on the health care system they refused to fix for political reasons.

White House spokespeople confirm that no animals were harmed in the ritual itself.  The skin of a polar bear, which died of natural causes, was worn by the President in the White House Rose Garden.  There he made a deal with the elder gods, and in exchange for snow he gave them tax exempt status as a state recognized religious institution.  Schools and businesses throughout the Northeastern United States are closed today due to the President’s incantation.
